SO Upset & Mad

Yesterday I decided to highlight my hair like I was telling you about in a previous post.
I decided to try something new this time, Loreal's Feria highlighting kit.

Let me give you some background first.
I went to Cosmetology school and I know how to highlight my hair, I've been doing it for the past 5+ years, foils and all, I even cut my hair. Don't get me wrong, I do go get my hair done, once in a while, I just like to do it on my own because I like how I do it, plain and simple. So when I used this product it wasn't like I didn't know what I was doing.

I almost cried when I came out of the shower. BRASSY ORANGE. Not only that it was suppose to be highlights, bleach spreads hence why you can't bleach your hair all the way to the root, and I know this, but what happened to my hair was something else. I have no clue, it spread everywhere, making it harder to cover up. The worst thing in the world! My poor fiance went out to pick me up hair dye because I was mortified, I couldn't go out in public like that!
So I dyed my hair, hoping to get rid of the brassiness and orange color, at least to salvage it, unfortunately it didn't do anything! I've never experienced anything like this in my life.

Right there I wanted to cry. I wanted to dye my hair again yesterday to a much darker color, but I need to give my hair a break.

I'm so mad because over the winter, every winter, I don't highlight my hair, bleach is just awful for your hair, I let it relax and I let it mend itself. Now here I am, with bleached hair that just needs to be covered up because of a horrible product. Now my hair is damaged and it's not even highlighted. I'm so disgusted and I suggest no one to ever use this product. It's my own fault for not reading reviews, but I've worked with bleach before, so I didn't think it would be a big deal. Never, ever again will I use any Loreal hair products.

I just took a photo of my hair, this is after it was colored once, and it still looks this awful. Now I have to wait a few days to color it again. I'm probably not going to highlight again because it's just too damaging, see why I'm pissed? I could of have pretty highlighted hair for the spring, but because the product was just so awful now I'm stuck with nothing. I just can't highlight it again, it'll just do more damage to my hair. So disgusted...

Anyway, here's a photo of my roots where the bleach spread through the entire top of my head, mind you this is HIGHLIGHTED.

So upset. Maybe this is why it was reduced, because it was a bad product or expired?!

Ohhh I can totally realte and feel your pain! The color doesn't look too bad from the photo but it doesn't look like highlights. I went back to get mine fixed and I'm still not happy but I hope you can fix yours in a few days. Best of luck! P.S I didn't know you went to cosmetology school?! I wish I had some of that knowledge!
