Happy Halloween! Hello Kitty Pumpkin!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween!

I spent my day at my internship and working on homework.

When I was done with everything I made some Digiorno pizza {not a huge fan by the way, first time trying it}, and we carved pumpkins. Something I haven't done since I was a child.. 

Sad, I know.

The nails I have been sporting for the last few days. :)

My nails are SO short.. :( I can thank school for that!

 

Monday I got out of work early and had no classes for Tuesday, all because of Hurricane Sandy...

We were both bored out of our minds...

So I went shopping, I know. 

I tried this sweater on, just didn't like it as much as I did hanging..

Snoopy halloween shirt I wore today. :)

Not a fan. Would not repurchase.

My fiance still thinks his pumpkin is better than mine, but c'mon, mine is Hello Kitty, what beats that?!?!

So proud of myself. lol.

Now I am off to watch American Horror Story. Have a great night everyone.

UPDATE: Hurricane Sandy LBI Long Beach Island Shack did not make it

I just read that the beautiful clam shack, a landmark to Long Beach Island did not make it through Hurricane Sandy.

Update: Hurricane Sandy LBI Long Beach Island NJ

I'm so thankful to still have power here at my apartment. 

I'm hearing a lot of friends and family without power in the northeastern part of Pa.

I'm sure most of you have heard about the terrific storm Hurricane Sandy, and she still doesn't seem to be letting up. 

My favorite vacation spot, and where I got engaged, Long Beach Island, NJ. is currently under water.

Atlantic City's boardwalk is under water and most of the casino's have 3 feet of water.

Two of my favorite places to go.

University closed their doors today and tomorrow. Something it never does, even with 10 feet of snow on the ground {ok, maybe not that much, but you get the idea}.

I have some photos to share from Long Beach Island that I found online. 

It's so terribly sad, and my heart goes out to the families that live there and to the ones that didn't make it off the island. My heart also goes out to New York, I heard the levee just broke in Manhattan.

Hurricane Sandy

I wanted to make a quick post to ask for your prayers.

As most of you know Hurricane Sandy is coming up the east coast and is going to hit Pennsylvania (where I live). I am hearing horrific stories about what this storm is going to bring. 

I am asking for your prayers for my family, friends and I, and of course the other bloggers on the East coast.

New Jersey is already being hit with damaging winds and high waters. 

Hurricane Sandy is 900 miles wide and doesn't seem to be slowing down. 

They're calling it the Frankenstorm because it's coming right around Halloween time. 

They're also calling it the Perfect Storm.

I'm scared to be honest, I just hope it's not as bad as they're making it out to be.

Will keep you updated.

Homemade Pumpkin Roll

Hello! It's been too long! And I am blogging from my phone once again. Life has really become hectic! :/

Anyway, this past Sunday I decided to make pumpkin roll(on my fall bucket list).. It was actually a lot easier than I thought it would be.. The fiancé actually liked it!! :) I would post the recipe but unfortunately from my iPhone I can't get the recipe.. But it's on my pinterest under desserts. And you can access my pinterest on the right hand corner of this page :)

I do have pictures to share though.. I opted out of the walnuts because the fiancé is not a fan, otherwise the pumpkin roll would be topped with walnuts. Instead I used powered sugar.

Yum!!

I realize I have a lot to post about, I still have not put away the bags from when I went shopping on my birthday. Blah!! I hope to get around to it soon. Things just need to calm down a bit.

I'm home!

I'm home!! But currently on lunch at work. Not sure if I'll have time to blog after work, my apartment is a bit messy from all the luggage from this past weekend and I have some homework to do before tomorrow. Sometimes it doesn't matter how much you try to catch up with stuff there is still more to do!

Is anyone as excited as me about American Horror Story tonight?! I'm so excited! I need to get everything I have to get done before 10pm tonight! I'm such a dork.. Lol

I have some photos from Atlantic City to share but not much. I was trying to use my good camera more instead of my iPhone. I did take photos of the outfits I wore but waiting for a separate post for that... I am considering doin YouTube videos again, especially with this upcoming haul I want to post. Would anyone like to see a YouTube video of the haul and photos?! Leave me know!!

Anyway, I'll stop rambling..
The cake is actually pumpkin cheesecake and it was delicious! It was from Ceasars Boardwalk Buffet. Yum! The picture of the windows is actually from our room we stayed it, they upgraded our room for free because the fiancé told them it was my birthday. It was such a beautiful room!! I also took a photo of our bathroom but have more on my camera. The only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't take a bubble bath! Boo! The cash out ticket is from Ballys casino, I played $5 randomly on a .25 machine and won this and immediately cashed out! How lucky!! :) and the trees are just a picture of our way home and we also stopped at King of Prussia on the way home too. He's too good to me :)

Anyway is anyone watching American Horror Story tonight??!

Blogging from my phone because I miss you guys! If you follow me on Instagram(vzaleski) you know that I'm away celebrating my birthday(yesterday). I will be gone for 2 more days.. I have a few photos to share that are on my phone. The rest will have to wait until I get back home.

Collective Haul

Just a random collective haul from different stores. 

Unfortunately I don't have real good photos of the items, but I wanted to do this post anyhow.

I spent my last full day off cleaning our apartment. I finally unpacked everything. I'm so proud of myself.

I organized and cleaned our bedroom. I even cleaned the bathroom.

Tomorrow I'm hoping to organize and clean our kitchen. 

My family is coming down this Thursday to spend the day with me for my birthday.

My birthday isn't until Sunday, but this is the only time they can come down.

I'm so excited to have visitors. :D

Did anyone else take advantage of the $2 Ulta nail polish, originally $6. 

I bought 5 of them and had a coupon for $3.50 off. 

Ya, I over did it. 

The fiance and I were walking passed Littman in the mall and he saw a charm on the posters that they have outside.

Well the one charm said "Live love Laugh" (My favorite saying of all time)

And he said how I needed that.

Well, he bought it for me!

It was so sweet for one that he remembered that I love that saying, and secondly for him to just buy it for me. It's the small things. <3

I wanted some good fall candles, but ended up getting these ones.

For some reason they don't sell Pumpkin Cupcake in the 3 wick. 

At least at the 2 Bath and Body's that I was at.

Weird.

Anyway, it's back to work tomorrow for me.

I'm so thankful for a 3 day week.

It's nice! :)
