Chi Blowdryer Review

I'm alive. I made it through this cold, and then got the fiance sick. :( Oops. We sat around in our pj's from Valentines Day until this past Sunday. I finally got my butt in gear and made our bed. It was time. We still have yet to celebrate Valentines Day and with an Organic Chemistry 2 exam coming this Wednesday for my fiance doesn't look like we'll be celebrating until after this Wednesday. Which I'm totally fine with, because I am not prepared. I haven't even bought a card...
But enough rambling from me, the fiance and I went to TJMaxx last week and I stumbled across this little beauty. A Chi blowdryer. That's right, I'm collecting Chi's now. From the straightener to this. Very professional of me, wouldn't you say? Today I finally brought the Chi out of it's hiding and into the light and took photos and then used it. Today I'm presenting to you, my new Chi blow dryer which I scored for $69.99!

Do you see that attachment on the upper right hand side? I used that today! I use to have one a long, long time ago, I'm talking years, but the blow dryer just died on me so I couldn't use it, but it was my go to for my curly hair. I missed it. Dearly. And now that this Chi blow dryer comes with it, is literally amazing.

Pretty frosted white. :)

All kinds of fun settings. High, medium, and low heat. High, medium, and low fan, and a cooling option! I never had so many setting in a blow dryer before. I can't even keep it on high fan or high heat, it's TOO hot. I keep it on medium settings. It's perfect.

That's right, $69.99

Today I decided to curl my hair because I was entirely too excited about the curling attachment.. and look, it doesn't even look frizzy!
 photo DSC01424_zps17bc4000.jpg
Yes, that is the grinch in the background. lol.

In natural light with my ombre hair.
 photo DSC01428_zpscc3a6487.jpg
Isn't it beautiful?
I can definitely see myself saving alot of time now by using this curling attachment. It'll take me 5 minutes to do my hair tops! Keep in mind, I don't have naturally straight hair, I have curly hair, so I'm not sure you'll get the same results, but definitely a wave you would get!
Anyway, Happy Monday! I'm off to make chocolate covered strawberries. Have a good day!

Valentines Day Gift Ideas

This post was suppose to go up yesterday, but there was a family emergency that we have to drive in immediately, so there was no time to blog. Also, I am so sick, and with traveling and not getting any rest, I feel like I got worse. :(
None the less, I still wanted to make this list for you. Besides someone of you may not be celebrating until the weekend. My fiance and I are celebrating Friday because yesterday and today were SO hectic, we need to relax tomorrow, well maybe I need to relax.

So the fiance asked what I wanted for Valentines Day last week, I honestly have no idea. What does a guy get a girl for Valentines day? Well I can't speak for every girl, but here are some of the things I would like!
First is this adorable bracelet from Tiffanys & Co. which can be found here.
 photo tiffanys_zps86062818.png
A Pandora locket charm. Can be found here.
 photo pandora_zps8da61862.png
An ADORABLE charm from Juicy Couture. here

And I think I finally found a perfume I like. The DKNY Be Delicious one. I never wanted anything that smelt flowery or anything like that. This one smells fresh to me and at the same time fruity. I love anything that smells fruity. I don't own any perfume's so this would be nice to start out with. Here

I hope I gave you some ideas, and I'm not entirely too late. Some people shop on Valentines Day right?!?! :)
Hope everyone has a good night. I'm going to rest. I'm exhausted.

Urban Decay's Wizard of Oz Glinda Good Witch Palette Review

I finally was able to pick up the Wizard of Oz palette from my friend yesterday! Today I am going to review it and let you know my thoughts on it, and if you should pick it up or if you should pass on it.
Urban Decay has paired up with Disney's Wizard of Oz and created two fun filled palettes for the release of the new movie coming out in March. There is a Good Witch palette that is represented by Glinda, and a Bad Witch palette that is represented by Theodora.
The palette's will run you $49. But they include 6 pots of eyeshadows including 2 duo eyeshadows, a eyeliner and a lip color.

Here are some photos and swatches of the good witch palette, which is the one I decided to pick up.

 photo DSC01403_zpse1cc74bf.jpg
This is the exciting part! Urban Decay has decided to release 6 BRAND NEW eyeshadows to this palette. And if you're a big fan of Urban Decay's eyeshadows you will love this palette for it! These are 6 brand new colors!
 photo DSC01404_zpsdd2b1a5b.jpg
The card has a look you can try out with all the 6 new colors. Which is something my friend tried out over the weekend and she said she loved it.

Now onto the good stuff, the shadows. Here's what you will get if you purchase it.

The bottom row from left to right is: Illusion, Oz, South

The center colors come up real light in the photo, but believe me in person they are NOT, they are a beautiful iridescent color! They're actually my favorite! The top from left to right are: Torndao, Auro, Magic

Swatches of the lip and eyeliner.

Eyeliner is in Rockstar. Which is a nice color!
 photo DSC01413_zpsbf786f7b.jpg
Lip color is SUPER smooth and creamy, there is no color name just this:
 photo DSC01414_zpsc8ea1d8e.jpg
Would I recommend this? Yes! I know a lot of people are saying it's expensive for a palette, but you're getting 6 brand new shadows from Urban Decay's line and a full size lip color! I love all of the colors in the palette, and I think they're something I would wear every day. The whole reason I passed up on the bad witch palette is because it's very dark shadows and a deep red lip, something I can't see myself wearing everyday, just at nights. So go out there and buy it!!
I just came home from a weekend away and I have a huge makeup haul to share this week! I can't wait to show you everything. But for now, I have a sneak photo of the things I purchased:

Have a good day everyone!
Will you be purchasing of the palettes, or are you going to pass on them?

What I Pack for a Weekend Get-Away

Packing is real difficult to me. It doesn't matter how many days I'm going I always seem to over pack. But not this time! I'm trying to stick with one bag for 4 days! That's right! Well maybe 3, but who's counting. I wanted to share what I'm going to be packing.
My Weekend get away bag!

You can't tell but I'm wearing a grey and pink polka tank under the jacket and my Nike Free's which are so comfortable, they'll be perfect for the drive.

Ciate Sequin Manicure Review

Happy Thursday everyone! I apologize for all the nail polish posts, but I can't help it, there are SO many cute nail polishes out right now. Like this Ciate one.

I bought this Ciate Sequin Manicure set on Sephora a few weeks ago and I'm finally getting to use it. I bought it on sale and go it for an extra 20% off. I believe I spent $17.00 with shipping, otherwise it was $13.00. Which I think is such a great deal for Ciate.
I've been wanting a glitter nail polish that covers the entire nail bed instead of just speckles, and that's why I bought this. Not just for the glitter, but for the glitter grip nail polish that comes with it. I will probably be purchasing different color glitter so I can use it with the glitter grip.
Here's the results of the application.

What comes in the kit:

Now onto my honest review.
I like it. I do. But the application is messy and it takes a long time. You literally need to do one nail at a time when applying the sequins, which takes time. The whole application including drying time took me atleast a hour! Now don't you don't need to apply the glitter to ALL of your nails like I did, you can just do the ring finger. I did it to show you what they look like. Also, because it's my fiance's birthday and I wanted to do something fun and festive, I know I'm a dork. lol.
Snagging and pulling, another topic. It does snag a little bit, especially when you run your fingers through your hair. That is annoying. But I did only apply one application of top coat, I should have maybe done two. Are they falling off? Today I'm noticing the tips of my nails where the sequin use to be is falling off. But it's expected with any nail polish, not just this set.
Would I recommend? I would! It's definitely a different product and a GREAT idea! If you love nails and love doing your nails, this is something fun and new to try. :)
Anyway, have a great day everyone!

Revlon's New Nail Polishes & Swatches

I finally was able to pick up the other nail polish by Revlon that I wanted, plus one. I originally bought one from Ulta at $4.99 but when I went to Walmart on Monday they were only $3.97. So I picked up two more that I liked. Go to Walmart if you're going to buy them!

I'm not sure how many new shades of this glitter they got, I believe I'm missing one, but I already have one similar to it so I'm going to pass that one up. They do however have new colors but I decided to pass up on those as well.

Swatches.
 photo DSC01364_zpsb245af1e.jpg
This is with three coats.
 photo DSC01365_zpsac6c43d8.jpg
I feel like the black is pretty messy, hence the nail polish on the skin. The brush is different from the others, it's a lot thinner.
 photo DSC01366_zps10ac892a.jpg
My absolute favorite is the middle, in Heavenly, and of course Whimsical{all the way to the right}, it just took three coats to look that way.

Have a good Wednesday everyone! Today is my fiance's 28th birthday!! I can't believe I've spent 10 birthdays with him! We're keeping it low-key today because he has classes until 4 tonight, I made him a cake though, creamsicle, his favorite. Tomorrow we're going to Atlantic City and his family is going to meet us. So I need to get packing!
Have a good day everyone! <3
