DIY Baby Tie and Suspender Onesie

Happy Thursday!

So I have all these DIY posts that I have been saving until after my best friends baby shower, and I'm going to finally post about them now. 

I have a ton of pictures to share of the baby shower too. 

It was a total Pinterest inspired baby shower, and it was perfect. :)

I'm so happy for her and how everything turned out. 

I did manage to make some things for her and one of them is this baby onesie. 

You will need:

1.) Onesie :)

2.) Thread color of your choice

3.) Ribbon (for suspenders)

4.) Fabric of your choice (I bought mine from Joann's)

 

 I made my own template for the tie. I just drew it free hand. 

 

 I don't own a sewing machine so I hand sewn this. (It took a long time, so I would recommend a sewing machine!) 

 

That's pretty much it!

It was so much fun to make.

I think it's adorable. :)

A while ago my fiance and I were wondering around Macy's and I stumbled across this beauty. 

And I'm having a hard time. 

I bought it, but can't seem to bring myself to use it. 

Not because I don't love it, because I DO!

 I guess I'm having a hard time with the cost. 

What do you guys think?

Ulta Haul - New Lippies

Happy Tuesday!

I'm not sure if I mentioned this before, but where I work administration is moving off-site. 

And where we are moving we are going to be getting our own offices. 

I use to share an office with the executive assistant, but now we are both getting our own offices. So I am really excited about it. Not only because I'm getting my own office, but because I am able to decorate it! :)

I was in the process of moving into it today, and more tomorrow, so I had a really good day. 

Anyway, over the weekend I went to Ulta with my best friend. I just wanted to look around and see if there was anything good or new. I haven't been to one in a while so it was nice to look around. 

My best friend told me about some lippies she uses. 

So I decided to try them out and some other ones that were new. 

I never really use lipstick but I want to start. 

So here's what I purchased.

 

This smells like watermelon and has a red tint to it. 

 

This is the one my best friend recommended. 

 

This is a new color by CoverGirl. It's a jumbo gloss balm in Watermlon Twist.

 

   

 I must of been in a watermelon phase.

Chrome Nail Polish & Different Looks

Happy Monday!

How was everyone's weekend?

I spent my weekend on a local lake with my best friend on a kayak. We walked trails of a state park that I love. And Sunday I went out for lunch with both of my best friends. It was a really great relaxing weekend. 

Anyway, how does everyone feel about the whole chrome nail polish trend?

I remember buying the Sally Hansen chrome nail polishes years ago, and guess what, I still have them!

So I decided to paint my toenails the silver chrome nail polish, and I'm actually really loving it. 

 

Would you wear this trend?

Use matte nail polish and use the chrome as your tips.

My 4th of July

Happy Friday!

This was an odd work week for me. 

Yesterday I was off, today I worked, now I'm off the weekend. 

I am not complaining though.

I just painted my toenails an awesome silver chrome nail polish. I can't wait to take pictures tomorrow and share. 

Is anyone else into the chrome nail trend?

I don't have much to post about today, so I'm going to post about the 4th. 

The fiance and I didn't do much. 

It was one of those random days. 

Which is my favorite because nothing is planned and whatever happens.. happens. 

And most of the time it's a good thing!

Like yesterday, we discovered the most amazing park where we are living. 

It's a park you have to travel up a very HIGH mountain to get up to, but once you're up there it's totally worth it! 

I need to side track here for a minute. My fiance and I have been wanting to cook something on the grill SO bad, but because we live in an apartment complex there is no grill. *insert sad face*

What do most people do on the 4th? Grill.

 What does both of our families do on the 4th? Grill.

So needless to say we were missing the grill, and some delicious grilled hot dogs. 

Well we can't have any, but guess what we found?

We get to the top of this mountain, and there are 5 public grills with picnic tables!

Thank the Lord! 

We can now grill this summer. :)

Anyway, so we find these holy grail grills and then we go over to where everyone is looking over. 

We go over to this cliff and you can see the entire view of where we live. It was absolutely breath taking. It was so beautiful up there I wish I could have spent all day there. 

So I'm going to share my experience through pictures. And it's funny because I literally took my camera out of my purse the night before, so I only had my phone. But that's ok! I was still able to capture the beautiful scene!

 

 

And we ended our fourth by watching the sunset. 

It was so beautiful. 

Such a fun day. :)

I'm home for the weekend, and I'm excited to spend time with friends and family.

4th of July Outfit

Happy 4th of July!

I'm already home and in PJ's. 

I love days like this. 

The fiance and I spent the entire day out and I had so much fun. 

More on this tomorrow.

4th of July Toenails and OOTD

Happy Wednesday!

I am so excited to be off from work tomorrow. 

I have a lot of unpacking to do, and laundry. :)

I did my toenails last night. 

I wasn't sure what to do for the 4th for my nails, so I did something I could wear even after the fourth.

Can't go wrong with polka dots!

I wanted so badly to wear a skirt with this, but decided not to. 

Wish I would have. 

It would have looked cute tucked into a pencil skirt.
