Happy 6th Birthday Blog!

Happy Tuesday!

Nothing beauty related or fashion related today.
I just wanted to make a quick post to wish this blog a Happy 6th Birthday!

I can't believe I have been blogging for 6 years now! I have a hard time sticking with things so for me to be consistent with this blog for 6 years really means something.

I've met some pretty amazing people throughout the years and I am still meeting some amazing people. I think that's one the reasons I love blogging.
I truly wouldn't be blogging so much if it wasn't for my readers.

I want to thank each and everyone of you for taking the time to read my blog. It truly means the world to me.

Thank you.

Weekend Recap: DIY Bridal Wishing Well, OOTD, Old Navy

Happy Monday!

Today I'm sharing a little bit about my past weekend. It was a quiet yet eventful weekend if that makes sense?
Friday:
I am currently on the hunt for a dress for my bridal shower I just don't know how to dress! It's at the end of April and I just don't know what the weather will be like! My mom bought a sleeveless dress but I am a little weary. What do you guys think I should go for? I'm thinking a dress with 3 quarter length sleeves.
This dress is from New York and Company and I'm loving it but worried it's too old lady-ish?

Michaels posted this cute image of DIY sequin Easter eggs I'd like to try out! Maybe next year when things calm down a bit!

I'm also getting ready to purchase invitations. Here are some that I like:

 Saturday:
Here's a picture of my wishing well completed thanks to my wonderful father. I love it so much I want to put it in our yard - whenever we get one of those that is!

Look at the amazing work he did! I just love all the little details. I liked to think I get my craftiness from my dad. :)

I also took a trip to Ulta and NYX finally stocked the Highlight/Contour Wondersticks. I have literally been looking for this since Christmas. I came to the conclusion that Pinterest lied when I saw the pin, but it does exist! And of course by the time I find them they're all sold out! Boooo.
I did, however, find them at Christmas Tree Shop later that day so I picked it up there. :) Can't wait to test.

Making my fiance Gertrude Hawk chocolate covered strawberries is always a must for Easter. So I picked up the $1 candy bars and maybe one for myself. ;)

I made a trip to the Christmas Tree Shop, of course. I got some cute things there as well. But I didn't take any pictures.

I went to Old Navy - just because. I am craving all these Spring clothing items.
This is what I wore:
Long Beach Island hoodie/Vicki's yoga pants/Payless tennis shoes
Don't mind my awful roots!

Hey! Check out my Christmas socks!!!!
I picked up this summer dress for $15!

Sunday:
Sunday's are always uneventful for me and I like it that way! I finally took the time to color my hair, as you can see from my previous post it was much needed. Haha
Have a great night!

Wedding Wednesday: My Potential Wedding Day Jewelry

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

I feel like every day I'm doing something for the wedding and I'm getting a bit stressed out. We're coming up on the 3 month mark and I'm beginning to freak out about all the little things. We have appointments out the butt in April it's insane! It's exciting at the same time!
Today I'd like to share jewelry I am considering wearing our wedding day.
What I plan on doing is buying a couple different sets of jewelry and when I have my final fitting (which I hope everyone will be there for) I can get opinions from everyone on what jewelry pieces to wear.

I plan on wearing a necklace and a bracelet. No earrings because I'll be wearing my hair down so I just consider it pointless.

Both pieces are from Charming Charlie and I got for buy 1 get 1 free. So for both pieces it was $11.99 plus tax.

It's by Charming Charlie's brand RSVP.

Once I'm tanner I think this will really pop with my dress.

This is what the necklace looks like on.

Even as I look at this on I love it. I think this will go perfectly with my dress.

Need your opinions!
What do you think of my jewelry?

Charming Charlie's BIG Haul!

Happy Tuesday!

As you may already know from my Weekend Recap I went to Charming Charlie.
I truly adore that store I don't know why I don't go there more often!
In the mail I received a coupon for there - something I have never gotten, so I figured why not?! Plus I am looking for jewelry for the girls in my bridal party.

All of their clearance was Buy 1 Get 1 Free so I scored some pretty good deals plus I was able to use my coupon on top of that!

Here's what I got:
Most of my purchases were on clearance. I didn't expect to buy this much!
Now I have jewelry put away for our honeymoon.

Lace green head wrap($4.99) and hair ties.

I just love the seahorse and the seashell. I thought if I put my hair in a braid when I go to the beach it would be a cute touch.  The hair ties were $8.00

Anchor on clearance for $5.99. They also had other colors - blue and orange.

To the left is a nautical navy and white stripped necklace for $7.99 and to the right is a orange starfish charm necklace for $7.99.

I love the little details of this necklace. Starfish dangle earrings also come with it.

I love any type of charms so I really love the detail on this.

Like I said previously I am getting sick of my watches and have been craving a new one. I thought this bunny watch would suffice, not to mention it was only $15!

How adorable is this gold bracelet - also on clearance for $6.99.

The detailing is gorgeous on this.

I've been in desperate need of a new iPhone case. Mine is SO old. I scored this beauty for $3.99!

Look how sexy it looks on my phone! Haha

I also picked this earring set that wasn't on clearance for $10.00. I love nautical things and this set was perfect because of the crabs. When my fiance & I go to LBI this summer I will be sporting these cuties!

I also picked up some wedding jewelry that I can't share because 2 of my bridesmaids read my blog posts. Hello! :)
But on tomorrow's blog post (Wedding Wednesday) I will be sharing my potential jewelry I'll be wearing. My mom loves it and so do I but just not sure.

Have a great night!

Weekend Recap: Snow Day, OOTD, Charming Charlie's

Happy Monday!

Last Thursday my car broke again. And it broke again today.
Thursday I took my car to the dealer(something I never do) because my dad didn't know what it was. Well the dealer said it was something and obviously it wasn't because it broke again today and they wanted to charge me close to $1,400! I had my dad fix it for a lot less than that. So my boss said I could work from home Friday to get my car fixed. So Thursday I packed up my things last minute and drove a 3 hours + home. It's SO scary because my whole car shakes at a certain speed and it's hard to brake so I don't like taking it on highways and that's how I get to work every day. An hour every day I commute. So I bought the parts to fix it that the dealer was talking about and then took it for an alignment on Saturday. Drove it home today from work and it broke again. I'm so frustrated I could cry.
Anyway, I'm not going to dwell on it because I'm sick of being upset about it. I mean my car isn't brand new but it isn't old either, it's a 2006! I keep up on the maintenance religiously because of how much I drive and don't want to take any risks. So whenever my dad says I need something I just get it because it's not worth the risk.

Ok, done ranting!

Friday:

I worked from home on Friday and hung out with Sweetie. The second love of my life.
Sweetie helped me work. He's such a good boy.

I ordered the Lorac Pro To Go palette and was playing around with it Friday.

It snowed Friday as well. Happy 1st day of Spring!

Saturday:
I had no intentions of being home this past weekend so I made the best of it.

I trimmed my hair. Yay healthy ends!

My outfit:
Sweater was from Charlotte Russe and a Christmas present from my fiance/Old Navy Jeans/Make Me Chic boots

My mom got out of work early Saturday so I took her shopping for her Mother of the Bride dress. She didn't pick this one but I do love it on her! But she did buy one! I'm so happy for her.

Then I decided to go to Charming Charlie because I was bored but figured I can get jewelry for the Wedding for the girls and myself.

I found this adorable bikini bag there but passed on it. It'd be cute for the honeymoon though!

I did pick up these adorable earrings. I love the little crabs and sea horses.

Kohl's was having 20% off for Friends and Family on Saturday. I picked up this Lauren Conrad lace dress for $16.32! It was on clearance for $20.40 plus 20% off! Score! I picked up other things too I will share.
Please excuse my roots I really need to dye my hair!
Sunday we just drove home early. It was nice to have a 3 day weekend but just wish it wasn't because of my stupid car. Haha.

Have a great night!

Wedding Wednesday: My DIY Bridal Shower Invitations

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

Today I am sharing my Bridal Shower invitations that I made this past weekend.
They took a very long time to make but it was well worth it. I sent out the first round of invitations on Monday. Tomorrow I'll be sending out the second round (so friends that read my blog if you didn't get your invite yet it's because I had to make more!)

Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of the envelopes and the recipe cards I included with them. I will do that tomorrow and share. My apologies. Today was another crazy day for me. My car broke down again. I guess I shouldn't say it broke down because it runs fine, but I am having a hard time stopping (scary, I know). So I am taking it to a local dealership tomorrow in hopes they can figure out the problem. (Keep your fingers crossed - I want my car back!)

My maid of honor decided that the colors will be pink ombre, so for the paper I bought a card stock in different shades of pink.

Here's how they came out:

I'm going to be posting a tutorial on this invitation in case you want to make them for your bridal shower or wedding invitation.

Here's the deconstructed version of the cards.

SO, what do you think?!

Can I pass for professional? hahaha

Weekend Recap: DIY Bridal Shower Invitations, Casual OOTD, & I'm on First Page of Google!

Happy Monday!

Back to the grind. How was everyone's weekend? I worked on my bridal shower invitations all weekend. Both Saturday & Sunday I was putting in a full day's work. But enjoyable work. I really enjoyed making my own invitations, it was relaxing. I just sat here and catched up on YouTube videos. I'll be doing a full post on them this Wedding Wednesday.
Saturday:
I woke up at 9:30 AM, had my Special K cereal and got straight to work.
By 5:00 I had them all printed, cut and assembled and ready to be packaged.

When I snapped a picture to my fiance he gave me a huge compliment "Wow, they look great". Hey, I'll take what I can get. Haha.

I made 50 of them to be exact!

This was my completely casual look for the day. I didn't go anywhere so this was good enough.
Pink Sweatshirt/Old Navy Jeans/Payless sneakers(so old and dirty)

Sunday:

My Fiance & I finalized our guest list and I started to address and stuff envelopes - all while watching Netflix. :)
Ready to be mailed!
On Sunday I also discovered I'm on the FIRST page of Google if you search Wedding Wednesdays!
I had NO idea! I use to use my Google+ account but stopped because I haven't gotten many hits with it.
I may need to rethink my theory!

725,508 views?!?! And 7 followers ... watch out. Haha!

Have a great night!
