Happpppppy Friday!

It's the weekend, finally! 

I made it through my first full week of work. 

That's a good sign right?

I don't even think I made the CFO mad. Haha

Anyway, last weekend we went to the Philadelphia Premium Outlets to shop for some new "career" clothes. 

Yes, I called them "career" clothes. 

Hell, I even created a "Work/Office Outfits" board on my Pinterest!

That's right!

Everyone there dresses so professional I feel like my dressy clothes are their weekend attire. haha.

So I did some clothes shopping.

But besides clothes shopping I wanted to get some other things, like a lunch bag!

I've always used a Hello Kitty one from the $1 section at Target, but I feel like that would be frowned upon at my place of employment. 

So I decided to go with a Vera Bradley. 

 It was originally $34.99, but they were having a sale, so I got it for $14.99!

 

It's the perfect size for my sandwich and water! 

I also went to Bath and Body. I know I feel like I live there. 

But they have AMAZING coupons. Like for instance...

I got all this stuff for $16.95!

And can I say that the Strawberry hand and body cream smells exactly like strawberries. It's my favorite scent, anything with strawberries. 

How adorable is this hand soap? Looks like a little mason jar! $12.00

 

 And lastly this Sun Rasperry Tea for $7.99 

  

I had a coupon for a free item with any $10 purchase. And since I bought the candle and the hand cream she gave me the most expensive thing for free! So I got $12 off!  That was real sweet of the kind girl and to top it off, I left with another coupon, damnit! haha.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great weekend, I'm looking forward to this one because a friend is coming to visit! Yayyy!!!

So two weekends ago, yes that's right two, I did a little bit of shopping. I stopped at Claires and Bath and Body Works. 

Claires has some awesome nail art things right now. I picked up two things. They were buy one get the 2nd half off. 

I picked up these two items. 

I really wanted Ciate's black cavier nail art. But couldn't bring myself to pay so much for it, plus shipping. 

So you can imagine how excited I was when I found this, and it is only $8.50.

I also came across this nail art set. Comes with more cavier beads, plus pearls, studs, and rhinestones. I think this will be fun to play around with! It was $5.50, but I got this one for half off. Not bad right?

 

  I also went to Bath & Body Works because on Facebook they were giving away a bunch of the new Beautiful Day perfumes. So since we were already at the mall, I decided to pick up my freebie. I didn't think much of this at first, but when I smelt it, oh-my-gosh. It smells so fresh! I love it. It'll be something I use in the summerand keep it in my purse. :)  

 Anyway, I need to do some cleaning. One of my best friends is coming down this weekend for a visit and I need to clean. :)

I also wanted to say that my first day of work went real well! I'm working tomorrow and I'll be off the weekend which will be nice. A real 8-5 job with weekends off. I have my own desk, and share an office with another girl. Which I'm excited about because it gives me the opportunity to meet new people. I love what I'm doing so far, and they may even send me to Harrisburg for a "CFO boot camp". :D I'm real excited about everything this job has to offer. Everyone is real sweet too. I'm excited and so thankful for this opportunity! :D
I do however need to pick up supplies for my desk, and possibly some cute picture frames, oh and maybe a cupcake calendar! Hmmmm! The company does plan to expand to a bigger hospital so I may get my own office so I'm kind of excited about that, but we will see!

I Got the Job!

Yesterday afternoon as I was doing the dishes I got a phone call from the place I interviewed at. They said that they would call by Monday so I thought since it was already Tuesday they picked someone else. I know when I interviewed they say they were interviewing 4 other candidates. So needless to say, when they didn't call Monday I thought I didn't get the position. Well yesterday, they called and offered me the job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My first real job. My first career step. 2 months of looking for a job and I finally found one. I couldn't be happier with it. I start tomorrow, my first official working day. The salary is great, the hours are great, the work is exactly what I want to do! I'm so excited! :D
Today the fiance took me to dinner to celebrate, he is SO excited for me. Which makes me more excited. After we went for dinner, he said, yes he said we should go shopping for a professional outfit. I have work pants and skirts, but I wanted something more professional. I'll be working hand in hand with the CFO at the company I work for, so I should dress very professional, don't you think? :D
So we went to Kohls, again, to look for something.

I finally found the Essie nail strips that seem to be sold out everywhere. I was super excited when I found them. Aren't they adorable? I've never used any other nail strips besides Sally Hansen, so does anyone have reviews on them?

I found Kitchen Aid mixing bowls that match my mixer perfectly..


And I got them for a steal, I just saw these at Kohls (but in black) for $32.99 and I got them for $11.99!

I was shocked, I already used them too! haha.
Anyway, I have a ton to do, so I will talk more tomorrow after work! Yes! Back to work! :D

DIY Baby Onesie Banner & Giveaway

Happy Tuesday everyone!!! I'm SO excited to be sharing this today! My best friend is having a little one soon, and it's her first one, and I'm SO excited for her. I'm helping plan the decorations and I decided to give this lovely idea from Mandy over at This Little Life of Mine a try. We were e-mailing each other back and forth for a while before I jumped on the project this weekend. Mandy made a banner with triangles and my friend wanted hers with little onesies. So that's what I was going to do!
This is what we're going to make!

What you're going to need:

Scrapbook paper

Scissors

Pencil

Ribbon

Hot Glue for ribbon

Elmers glue for lettering

I drew the one side of the onesie by free hand and simply folded it in half and cut so it would be equal on both sides. I looked at a template through Google images and copied it on there. I cut the onesie out of thicker scrapbook paper so I could use it as a template for the scrapbook paper I wanted to use for the project. I also wanted to do lettering in little bubbles so I practiced drawing circles for a while before I got it right. haha

I put the scrapbook paper in the order I wanted it to be for the template. I bought all these scrapbook papers from Michaels. (in case you like any)


Simply traced the onesie on the paper and cut them out.

Onesies

Made up my own letters. I wish I had premade ones, but this turned out ok. I think this took me the longest because I drew them 2 times.

I got this glue from Wal-Mart. I just glued the circles and letters onto the onesies.



I hot glued the ribbon onto the tops of the banners so that when she hangs it, the onesies wouldn't fall off. I think she could also use it for her nursery.



It cost me less than $6.00 to make the banner, and it is personalized, so I think this is much cheaper then buying one!

Splash of Grenadine

Over the weekend my fiance and I did some shopping. Well more like me. I needed to pick up scrapbook paper to make my best friend's baby shower banner(will be posting about it tomorrow), and since Ulta was right next to Michaels, I stopped in. Hehe. I kept seeing pretty pictures of Essie's Splash of Grenadine everywhere on Pinterest. So I wanted to see if they had the color in there, and I also got a pamphlet from Ulta that showed OPI's new Euro Centrale colors and I was LOVING the Polka.com. So I picked up those two colors with my $3.50 coupon. The girl at the register also informed me as of this past Sunday, Ulta coupons are no longer going to be able to be used on OPI nail polish. Ahhhhh!!



Such a pretty purple color by itself! Would be perfect for Easter! :D
