Mini Haul - Weekend Shopping

Happy Thursday!

I couldn't be happier that tomorrow is Friday - finally!
Today I have a little haul from Old Navy, a local boutique and JCPenney. I did some shopping a couple of weekends ago and completely forgot to share the items.

These two shirts I got for a steal. I had a $15 off any purchase from JCPenney and ended up getting these two items for just $10! I love the aztec print of the sweater and I think it'll bring me right into the fall. I also needed a new black t-shirt and I love the way the ANA brand fits me - very comfortable!

I also picked up this Eagles shirt to wear to the Philadelphia Eagles game I went to this past Sunday. I went on Labor Day weekend and got it for $18.00

I scored these beautiful flower stud earrings for only $2! I thought they were too pretty to live in the store.

And... that's all I have for you today! I have some craft posts coming up. I'm hoping to get the one up tomorrow. :)

Have a great night!

Wedding Wednesday: Wedding Planner Book

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

Today I'm sharing the wedding planner I purchased when I first knew I was finally going to start planning our wedding. I knew I couldn't possibly remember everything that goes into planning a wedding - even though Pinterest is a great help - I'd rather have it tangibly.
The fiance and I went to Bam! a local bookstore where we live and looked at our selection. I knew I wanted a planner that was full of the big details and of all the little details! I'm a detail-oriented person so this was a must. I also wanted a planner I could write in and keep things in that I wouldn't lose. Basically I was planning on using the planner as my number one resource to all things for my wedding.

The planner I decided to go with is simply titled "The Wedding Planner & Organizer" by Mindy Weiss. The cost of the planner is $28.95 but you can also find it on here on Amazon.com

I wasn't sure how I was going to do this post but I decided pictures would be best. Beware though I took a lot of pictures.

There are a lot of tabs that are filled with information!

For instance - The Big Picture - is all about your dream wedding - different contacts for your wedding and honeymoon. Along with a planner for a long or short engagement.

Included in each tab are folders to put in papers. I found this useful for when I went to bridal expos and you're given all this paperwork!

Long engagement week by week planner.

It even goes right down to the day!

This budget worksheet is also very helpful. It really helps you see what you're spending and on what!

There's also a large section for your guest list and whether or not they RSVP or can't go.

More tabs.

Talks about the pros and cons of buffet or sit down meals.

More tabs.

I would have never thought of the rentals. This breaks down all your rentals and contact information for where you rented and when they need to be returned!

In the very back of the planner is a place for business cards and just a place to put things you can't fit into a planner.

Did you use a wedding planner book for your wedding? How did you keep track of everything?

Candies Nail Sticker Review

Happy Tuesday!

If you follow me on Instagram(vzaleski) I had a very exciting yet exhausting weekend, so Monday was a long day for me, I worked and came right home and went to bed. I'm not complaining though! I had such an exciting time. I'll be sure to post pictures another day.
Today I have a bit of a review of Candies nail stripes that I bought from Kohls (that we're on clearance for $3.20). They had such a cute design I wanted to try them.

The application of them was kind of messy. These nail stripes were a lot thicker than the Essie or Sally Hansen ones I was accustomed to. Which wasn't really a problem if they fit my nail exactly. As you can tell my pinky and middle finger have some kinks I couldn't work out, mainly because the nail sticker was just too thick.

They also didn't stick well to the nail bed - and I do what I typically do and use nail polish remover to remove the excess oil from my nail bed and pushed down my cuticles. They just weren't sticking well, so the sides of the sticker never actually stuck to my nail bed so they were getting caught on everything.

Needless to say, they didn't even last 24 hours before I just peeled them off. Not worth the buy, even at $3.20. However they were a cute design!

Wedding Wednesday: Engagement Photo Shoot & Re-Do

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

If you have been following my blog for some time now you probably already saw these photos when I first got engaged.
I was engaged on Long Beach Island, NJ, a couple of years ago. The next year we went to the same vacation spot and got our engagement photos done during sunrise.

This past summer we re-created some of the photos along with new photos thanks to my fiance's best friend. We plan on using them for our website.

Fast forward to this past year, here are just a few photos we took for our website:

Have a great night.

How I Spent my Labor Day - OOTD & New Addition to Family

Happy Tuesday!

How nice was it to start your week on Tuesday instead of Monday? There's something about knowing that tomorrow is already Wednesday that makes this week a little less unbearable! :)

I wanted to do a longer post today, but the fiance and I came home later than usual because we went for a dinner and movie, and of course did some Target shopping. So I'm cutting this blog post a little short tonight.

This was the quickest "Labor Day" outfit I could come up with.
Scarf: Farmers Market in New Jersey/White tank: TJMaxx/Shorts: JCPenney

Love this scarf so much. Wish I had more reasons to wear it.

Look at the new addition to my family's household!!! A Yorkie named Sweetie.

This is seriously the best selfie I could get with Sweetie - there was dozens. It's not easy taking a selfie while holding a dog. Haha.

The funniest of selfies.. I almost got him to give me a kiss - almost.

We ended our night back near our apartment with a great display of fireworks and a carnival.

My mom & I did some shopping on Sunday and had lunch together (something we haven't done in SO long). It's so hard to balance your time when you live so far from home. I can't even begin to tell you how hard it is.

Anyway, it was such a nice and relaxing weekend I believe I slept for 30+ hours, something I really needed! :)

Guess what???? Tomorrow is Wedding Wednesday!

Have a great night!

Hauling in the Bahamas & Norwegian Gem Cruise

Happy Friday!

Who else is beyond excited that we have a three day weekend?!?!

I don't want to think of it as the last weekend of summer, I still have so many things planned to do! Besides weather is still in the 80's where I'm at, so technically I'm still going to say we have some time before Fall is upon us!
Today I have a little haul from when I was on the cruise. Last year when we went I hardly bought myself anything and regretted it when I came home. So this time I took my time and looked at things.

On the second to last night on the cruise Norwegian has a big party called the "White Hot Party" where everyone wears all white and they have a dance party. It even "snows" on the dance floor. It's A LOT of fun!

In Nassau, Bahamas I went to this little shop called "My Ocean" and they had a ton of bath supplies. I picked up bath salts, a soap bar and a loofa that is suppose to be an exfoliating sponge. I'll report back once I've tried them. Check out their website here for more awesome products: My Ocean Website

I picked up this hand made clutch from the Great Stirrup Cay (Norwegian's private island). The island has a market where they sell hand made items from locals on the island. I saw this clutch and fell in love with it, but told myself no, but then I had to, it was just too cute. Besides I can see myself using this for our honeymoon next year.

When we were ported in Port Canaveral in Florida we went to Cocoa Beach and then to Cocoa Village. I stopped at this cute little shop that sells bath supplies and picked up this bath bomb.

Great Stirrup Cay magnet

Earrings from Great Stirrup Cay. The fiance actually picked these out for me. :) He has such good taste sometimes haha.

In Nassau, Bahamas they had this store called Del Sol that everything changes color in the sun, so I picked up these two nail polishes that I can't wait to try. Two colors in one? I'll take it!

Nassau, Bahamas Bacardi store.

And last, but not least, is my new earrings!! We went to a seminar about diamonds on the boat the one day and learned all about diamonds you can buy in the Bahamas. Before going on the cruise I knew I wanted to buy a set of diamond "flower" earrings. But I knew I wanted a certain look and size.
The Fiance picked these up for me for such a good deal: Originally they wanted $1,400 for them, but I said absolutely not, then the manager "worked" the numbers and got it down to $550.
I was a little weary about buying diamonds in the Bahamas but you actually get a certified certificate for your diamond purchase and you're entitled to an appraisal. We can also upgrade them at any time when and if we ever go back. The store he purchased them from in the Bahamas is called Diamonds International. They have super friendly staff and I couldn't be happier with our service.  (The pictures do not do them justice as they just sparkle so nicely, it was extremely hard to take a photo of them!)

If you're also looking for Movado's for a good deal, they had amazing deals!

Have a great night and a great Labor Day Weekend!
