Happy Halloween!

Tell me my toenails aren't appropriate for the occasion? :) I painted them orange with black nail polish for the pumpkin face, and also for the french mani, and also I added silver glitter on the face to make it look like it lights up. :)

Also I made another amigurumi, it's a peppermint patty, but in the theme of Halloween, so I thought I'd share for Halloween...

Clean & Clear Mark Treatment

This product is currently my holy grail product. I've been using this for the past month or so, and I'm amazed... I bought this with low expectations, because at $5.00 how good can it honestly be??

My Official Review

Cost: $5.00 from your local Wal-Mart

My skin type: Recently, probably because of the stress of moving/new school/& homework/tests I've been breaking out more than normal. I would say that my acne is usually mild. I get breakouts here and there, usually they're small normal pimples, but I am known for getting cystic acne. And if you don't know what cystic acne is, google it. It's disgusting and they hurt worse than you know. But like I said I've been breaking out more than usual and it's frustrating, and such a confidence crusher. :( My friend recommended this and said that she uses it whenever she felt a pimple come on and it would go away... For my skin type I highly doubt it would have worked for me.

What it claims to do: Mark Treatment treats pimples fast while diminishing the appearance of post-acne marks. This breakthrough formula is infused with a special oil dissolving technology that allows for delivery of acne medication, Salicylic Acid, to fight breakouts. The unique formula with Glycolic Acid promotes gentle surface skin turnover, improves skin's clarity and diminishes the appearance of post-acne marks.

Directions: Cleanse thoroughly before applying medication. Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer one to three times daily. If bothersome or dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once or even every other day.

What I claim it does and how I use it: At first this product didn't work for me. I would put it on my cystic acne when I had it, which didn't do anything; didn't even reduce the size or redness. I thought it was a fail. So I tried a different approach to using it:

I would wash my face with a cleanser, then apply a toner, then moisturizer and then apply this to my common break out areas. I would apply it whether I had acne or not. Apply makeup like usual.

Now I wouldn't just apply it once a day, I applied it in the morning when I was getting ready, and then after classes, which is my mid-day. I would wash my face with my cleanser again, this time not using toner or moisturizer and then apply this all over my common break out areas again, apply makeup like usual.

AND then, at the end of the day I would wash my face again, apply toner, apply moisturizer and apply this product all over my common break out areas.

Consistency: It's very water-like, but yet still thick. It's clear, so once it dries to your face you can't even tell you have it one. Also, since it dries quickly you can apply your makeup right after.

Pros: This is the first product(knocks on wood) that is actually drying out my pimples before they surface.
Since I do this three times daily if a pimple does surface I feel like it actually reduces the swelling & pain, which if you ever had cystic acne, you know how it feels.
It's so affordable an easily accessible!
The scent, it smells amazing. I feel so clean after I apply it!!
Also when you apply it, it kind of burns, probably because of the salicylic acid in it, but that makes me happy to feel like something it working.
I could go on and on how much I love this product seriously, what can I say? This actually works on my cystic acne, imagine what it does for normal acne.

Cons How much more effort I am putting into not getting acne. Tops I would normally only wash my face twice a day, but now 3 times, that might also be contributing to why I'm having less breakouts, either way I'm happy.

I apologize if this is such a long post, but I've been waiting a month to review this because I didn't want to recommend something that didn't work for me. If you have any questions please comment below. Thanks for stopping by and hope to talk to you soon! :D

FOTD with Wet n Wild Greed

I was really impressed with the color pay off of the Wet n Wild palette Greed and I wanted to actually try it today. So I figured I'd also share how I did it. :) Hope you enjoy and this is helpful.

Photobucket

Products used:
♥ Wet n' Wild's palette in Greed

♥ Loreal's Hip Paint in Secretive (I figured this would also help bring out the colors)

♥ My fav eyeliner NYC in black.. For my eyeliner I applied the NYC pencil and went over it with the glitter black in the Greed palette to give it a little more shimmer

Wet n Wild's Palette Review

First off I'd like to say that I never tried Wet n Wild's products before because they were always known as "cheap". So before I review this I can't say I've had prior experience with their products then, compared to now. I'm just giving my honest opinion on a product I bought. I seen so many reviews on these palette's by Wet n Wild, and when I was in the Dollar General picking up nail clippers I stumbled upon this. Plus $1.00 coupon off the price of $5.00! Score!

This particular palette is called Greed.

I haven't actually used this palette yet, but when I do, I'll show makeup looks with it. :)

My Official Review

Cost? Like I said I picked it up for $4.00 at Dollar General because they had an "Instant Coupon" on the packaging. But I know from reading other posts, it's $5.00

Pigmentation? I'm being completely honest when I write this, when I picked this palette up, I have very expectations. But when I took it out of it's packaging, and actually slide my finger across one of the shades, just once I was honestly amazed at the pigmentation. Very pigmented. In the pictures, I swiped my finger once to get that color payoff. Amazing right? Who would have that?

Packaging? Packaging is your basic, on a cardboard box. And to me packaging and design of something, anything is very important, I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I'm a sucker for cute packaging. The fact that it comes with two brushes, surprises me a little and shows that maybe Wet n Wild is trying to go a little higher end, but at an affordable cost?

Pros? Cost, easily accessible, at any local Walmart or drugstore, and hey even Dollar General! Also the color payoff is very surprising, and amazing.

Cons? None as of now. :)

I hope this was helpful and informative. :) Have a good night everyone.

Faux Leather Mini Skirt

I was casually browsing Forever 21's website and I kept finding all these wonderful outfits based around a single item: a faux leather mini skirt. They have a bunch of there website for about $15.00!! I went on that site just to look around, but left longing a leather skirt! I mean, I couldn't believe how they paired it up with all these different tops and made it look, rockerish, grunge, classy, sexy, and sophisticated. I wore a faux leather jacket last year and John absolutely hates it. Says that I'm too young to wear one, and that it makes me look old.. it's so retro.. yadda yadda. So I stopped wearing them. But now I'm longing for a faux leather skirt. Maybe he'll find it sexy? Hmm. Anyway, I just wanted to share the few of the many ways Forever21 show cased this skirt...

All from Forever21.com, I DO NOT take credit for any of these photos

So here's one of the faux leather skirts, I believe this one is $15.00

Photobucket

Paired with just a black dolman-style shirt. SO-perfect! I mean the black leather skirt, with a black baggy shirt and red lips, how could you not resist? I wouldn't recommend wearing the black leather skirt with just a tight black tight, little risk-A for me, but if you do I'd pair it with a boyfriend blazer..

Photobucket

Just a plain white dolman top with long chain necklaces. How cute!

Photobucket

This would be perfect for going out with friends. It's sexy, but without being so revealing.

Photobucket

I know this goes against what I said before about a tight shirt with a mini skirt, but look closer, they're actually shorts!! Faux leather shorts! They have those show cased all over their website with different looks. Plus she's not wearing a bare leg, she actually had tights on, which helps with being too revealing. And what's not to love about this top, it's so cute!

Photobucket

If you're able to, you could totally pull this off at the office, just add black tights, or even with a blazer.

Photobucket

This would be perfect for going out with friends and at the office, wear it with a cardigan at the office and take it off for going out with friends.

Photobucket

Lace and leather? Oh my. It's great together, it's two worlds completely separate, but put together. Classy vs Rocker? Put together and add red lipstick, and your ready to go out. I love it!

Photobucket

There's so many ways to pair one skirt with many different looks, and at $15.00 you can't beat it. I'm not trying to advertise for Forever21 I just love their website SO much.

Just wanted to share one of my favs for right now. I need a faux mini leather skirt! Let's just hope the fiance will approve haha.
