Engagement Photo Shoot Dress

Here's more photos of the dress that I bought for my engagement photo shoot in Long Beach Island. I bought it from American Eagle. The one I bought from Victoria Secrets is way too big on me and was stained. I just didn't like the cut or the way it looked on me. I went shopping the other day for dresses because I really wanted to get it out of the way. I know retail stores are getting their fall merchandise so I wanted to snag a white dress before they were all gone.

I absolutely love this dress. As soon as I tried it on I knew it was the "one". :) It is $49.50 and is a size 6.

Eyelet rims the bottom of the dress. Such a cute detail.


Kind of a corset top.






Straps can be removed, and can be worn as a tube top dress. And that is my intentions.

Express & Bath & Body Works Haul

I was SO impressed with the Express sale that's going on. I absolutely love everything. There's just so much I want, but can't have. Haha. Not only are their prices good right now, but the lowest ticket is an additional 20% off. Score! I picked up some really cute things. I have a graduation party to go to tomorrow so I picked up a dress for that since it's going to be gorgeous out tomorrow. I can't wait to wear it. I'm thinking of saving it for the beach as well, I might even pick up a different color in it. We'll see. Haha.

Adorable Sandals. I love Sandals with backs on them because I'm able to wear them to work. I love the color of these. They're almost like a light Rose color with a gold tint to them. Clearance at $19.99. Bought for $15.99







The only reason I'm showing this photo is because the bottom of these are suede-like. So smart.

I needed a new pair of yoga shorts, my black one are getting faded. These were marked to $9.99 and with 20% off I got them for $7.99

I've been on the hunt for the Wet n' Wilds Bloom collection. It's a collection of nail polishes that are all pastel colors. I'm a sucker for pastel colors. I went to my local CVS and found that they only have one stinking color left. So I grabbed it anyway, $1.99. Also picked up 2 other colors from a different collection that I thought was a little different.






And last but not least, I headed to Bath & Body Works on the intentions of buying the SPF 30 Cooling Spray. I seen it in an e-mail and I thought it would be perfect for the beach for my fiance. Well I didn't realize they're Semi-Annual sale was going on too, so I picked up a few other things.

I picked up a new wallflower because the one I have at school is getting kind of icky. Plus this was only $3.00


And this is the Mango Coconut SPF 30 Cooling Mist. I tried it in the store, and it really is cooling. They say to leave it in the refrigerator for a more intense effect. $14.00 for this. And the smell is AMAZING on this. Love it.

Victoria Secrets Semi Annual Sale Haul June 2011 & New Watch!

It's awful to say, but I didn't even know the Semi-Annual Sale was going on until my friend texted me at like 9:30 in the morning! Surprised? I know. Sad really! It saved my bank account, so that's a good thing. I was surprised at how little there was! I mainly wanted yoga shorts, tanks, bikini, and a strapless bra (mine is getting old). I didn't find any of those things!! Unfortunately I got there late so maybe that was why, plus I didn't travel to the other Vicki's in my area so I just went to the one at our local mall.

I did manage to find a pair of Victoria Secrets Pink shorts for $14.99. They're super cute with a heart on the butt & they're PINK! :) Makeup was 75% off, so I scored a bunch of makeup at $1.75. Wet/Dry eyeshadows $1.75, mascara $1.75, eye liner $1.75, lipstick $1.75. Score. :) Oh, and I also scored this adorable "Sexy Little Bride" (For when the time comes) for $15.99!!

On the right it the same kind of body shimmer I had on a previous post and got it for $3.00 and it smells amazing compared to the one on my post!

I also picked up a new watch from JCPenneys. I've been eyeing up this watch for a while and I got a $15 off any purchase coupon so I used it on this watch. I just LOVE the color of the band. It's SO different! It reminds me of Juicy Couture's pink. So cute! And I love the white face of the watch and how it's surrounded by little crystals. I've been afraid to buy a "menswear" watch because I was afraid it would look to gaudy on me, or too big for my small wrist. But I do love this one on. They took out a few links and it fits perfectly.

Option 1 or Option 2? I need your help!

So as you guys know, I'm on the hunt for the perfect dress for my engagement photo shoot at the beach. I bought the dress from Victoria Secrets, and absolutely hate it on. Fail. SO I went out shopping today and picked up two dresses. Mind you I want a white one just because the photos are going to be shot on the beach, so I think white would be perfect. So here's my options. I posted both of these photos on facebook and I'm getting more response from the white one, so what do you think?!

Sephora Haul & Setting up an actual Sephora store!!

Getting a discount at Sephora is wonderful. Actually it's more than wonderful, it's fabulous! I don't know how a lot of girls can go there on a regular basis and be able to afford the stuff in there. I know I would buy from there once in a while. It had to be something I really wanted, or something I needed. With my discount I'll be able to buy more things and be able to review them, which is something I'm even more excited about. :)

For a week I got to work with two wonderful ladies who come from Florida and California. These ladies help set up Sephora's all across the country. I was able to set up the Sephora and stock every thing. It took one full week of much work, but the end result is absolutely amazing. It's one thing to just work at a Sephora, but to actually set up the store is a completely different thing. There was palette's and palettes and palettes of merchandise, fixtures, mirrors, etc. All those beads you see in those containers for brushes all need to be filled in, to a certain height, and to core standards.

All those little labels need to be put in, they're not pre-done. The drawers of the merchandise all need to be "P-tagged" (labeled) a certain way right down to the color of the foundation. Bare Escentuals in Really picky. The registers need to be set up a certain way, tissue paper, bags, boxes, EVERYTHING!

It was an AMAZING experience to set up a Sephora store. There was so much sweat, blood and aggravation that went into setting it up, but it's definitely worth it. So for all you girls that just work at Sephora, appreciate going into a store that is already set up. :)

Engagement Photo Outfit

The fiance and I are getting our engagement photos done this summer despite what is going on with my family. We already paid for them back in March, so we are going through with it. I'm actually very excited for it as well. So I've been on the hunt for the perfect dress for the occasion! I found a few dresses on Victoria Secrets.com but this dress really caught my eye, even before the Semi-Annual Sale. I think it's perfect and timeless. And I'm praying it looks good on! You can't go wrong with a simple white eyelet dress, it's timeless. :) Our photos are being taken on the beach, where I was officially engaged. We're always getting them done during sunset, so white would be perfect for the beach. :) Anyway, here's the dress I ordered:

Mind you, I highly dislike her accessories here, I would go with something different. I was thinking either coral or teal as the "pop" of color. Once I receive the dress, and if I like it on, then I will continue to shop for shoes and accessories. :) So exciting!

A Friend's Wedding

Fiance and I went to a friends wedding at Newberry Estates. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and so breath taking. Everything was gorgeous, and my friend looked STUNNING in her beautiful dress. SO jealous! It was an outdoor ceremony, on a perfect evening. Everything is was over the top, and gorgeous. I hope one day when I get married mine will be just as beautiful. :) I'll let the photos do the talking though.
