NOTD Ulta Babydoll

I've been having an urge to buy matte nail polish colors. I wanted to paint my nails a bright matte baby pink, so I decided to go through my nail polish and see what I had. And I came across this little treasure. It's from Ulta and it's in the color babydoll. I actually got this nail polish in a freebie when you purchase something. I absolutely love the color! Reminds me of the Essie colors. Which, by the way, I'm dying to buy, but just so darn expensive!! :P I just did my nails right before this photo so they're kind of crappy around the edges, but I do love this! Given that it's a pastel color, it didn't take me a million coats, it actually only took me two!

I probably should have taken the photos during the day, but I was just so busy today I could only take photos at night, and I had to blog, of course. :) So I'm sorry for the short post. Talk to you guys tomorrow!

JCPenney Haul

Haul time! Let's be honest, it's been a while. :) It's not much of a haul, a little one actually and it's from JCPenney! :P I found an adorable bikini that I feel in love with along with the cover up that looks like an exact dupe to Vicki's one that retails for over $30! I picked up some really cute things and I wanted to share!! Plus it's been a while since I last did a haul.

Coastal Scents Brushes & Giveaway Announcement!!

I picked up two new brushes from CoastalScents.com. I absolutely love this website for my brushes. I bought brushes from there 2 or 3 years ago and still use them till this day. The only reason I bought again is because I wanted to get a new eyeshadow brush because the one I use everyday the pink is coming off the handle. And when you're only paying $2.00 for a good quality brush it's not a waste of money to buy another. So I kind of wanted to share the brushes I bought and also do a mini-comparison to my MAC 219 brush.

Photobucket

The brush that I use everyday is CoastalScents Pink Oval Fluff Shadow Brush. It's the brush I use everyday for my eyeshadows. It picks up color amazingly. It's only $1.95! Plus it's pink, how could you go wrong. :P The bristles are also amazing on these brushes, they're so soft, yet not too soft when it gets product everywhere, if you know what I mean. Plus, when washed, the bristles don't fall out, at all. You can check it out here

The one on the right is the everyday eyeshadow brush I use, the one on the left is the one comparable to MAC's 219.
Photobucket

The brush on the left I haven't had a chance to use, but I wanted to give it a try, because my MAC 219 I feel is a little rough on my crease area. I feel like the bristles pick at my skin. It's hard to explain. The coastal scents brush is called Pink Round Crease Eye Brush. You can check it out here & it's only $1.89 compared to how much I paid for the MAC 219 brush was $24.50. Which you can check out here. I can't give a proper comparison but the Coastal Scents brush is much softer but I'm not sure if it'll be too soft where I can't blend the colors. We'll see. When I do a smokey eye I'll let you guys know!! But here's a picture of the two brushes that I have.

Almost identical.

ANYWAY, I wanted to announce that once I reach 300 followers (I'm at 292 right now) I am going to be doing a giveaway!! If you would be so kind as to announce this to your friends I would love you forever. :D I'm not sure of the prizes yet, but I could promise that they will be amazing. Because if it wasn't for the followers I have I would not be blogging! I love you all, and I really appreciate you coming to my blog so I want to give something in return. :) Once I decide on the prizes I will announce them. So stay tuned!! But I have to reach 300 followers first, and I'm so close. Let's hope I get there by the end of summer so I could give away some awesome things!!!

8 Ways to use your Summer Scarves

I wouldn't call these your average scarf. They are much smaller in width and much more light weight than your average winter scarves. Let's call them summer scarves. :P Actually these aren't even scarves these are the "sashes" that come with your dresses, so I stole some off dress. :D Creative? I thought so. And I didn't have to spend a dime.

I created 8 different looks with these two simple scarves. 2 include using them with my handbag, and the other 6 are different hair styles I came up with. I have never done any of these looks before so when I was playing with the scarves I was just thinking up different hair styles as I was going along. :P For the look I simply just curled my hair, had 2 hair ties and one scarf.

Here's the two "Scarves" I'll be using for all the looks.
Photobucket

Photobucket

1.First is with your handbag, use coordinating colors to go with your bag. I'm using my old Bebe bag. I just tied a bow around the one handle.

Photobucket

2.The next is wrapping your scarf around the handles. This could also protect your handles from normal wear.
Photobucket

3.The rest of the looks involve using my hair for different hairstyles. The first is very simple. I left pieces of hair in the front and tied the scarf underneath the back of my hair. I left the rest of the scarf hang off my shoulder, you can have it go on your back as well.

Photobucket

Photobucket

4. This look is the same as before expect I pulled my hair into a side pony tail and just tied the scarf around my hair tie to hide it.

Photobucket

5. This look is the same as the 2 previous expect that instead of leaving my hair into just a plain ponytail I braided it with the two strands of scarf left over. I love this because it also make your braid look thicker along with your hair!!! :)
Photobucket

Photobucket

6. This time I took the scarf and tied it completely around my hair tie and tied it into a cute little bow. I no longer have it around my hair. Same as the other but just not tied around my head.

7. This is also the same as before expect a little different. It's not tied around my head, but tied around the top hair tie, it's braided down with the braid and tied around the bottom hair tie into a bow.

8. and last but not least, I just left my hair down and wrapped the scarf from the bottom up and tied it into a bow on the top of my hair.

A lot of them are the same, but little variations. I hope this gave you guys some new ideas and have fun with it! I know I did.. I'm definitely going to try one of these at the beach when your hair gets all frizzy from the water. hahah.

FOTD & Swatches of Cargo Palette

As I mentioned yesterday I wanted to do swatches of the new Cargo palette I got in Tahiti. I absolutely LOVE the colors in this palette and I think it's perfect for the beach, it has all the teals, aquas, blues, and greens you'll ever need. It's like water, in a palette. :P Anyway, I picked this up at Sephora for $28.00. I also decided to play with the palette today. So I thought I'd share the look for you guys! It was a lot of fun coming up with this. :) I hope you enjoy.

Here's with the Lorac 3D glitter... (review another day) Basically it makes the color "pop" more and adds glitter.

Taking a Step Back & Looking at my Life

Sometimes I like to write down things I like to better about my life, or even change. I think change is always a good thing. I like to get my life in order. :) I usually comply a list of things that I want to accomplish, things I want to do, & things I want to change. But this time instead of complying a list in my diary(and yes, I do still have a diary), I thought I would share it with my readers.

Has anyone ever done this? Just took a step back and looked at your life and maybe realized you needed to change a few things. Well this is one I'm going to do now. I'm going to comply a list and share it with you guys, join in on the fun if you'd like to do the same!

1.

First and most important, I'd like to start saving more money. I'm getting older now and saving money is becoming more and more important. I don't have a load of bills so while I'm young and don't have a mortgage payment or a car payment (yes I paid my car off, and I just got it less than 2 years ago), I want to save more money.

2.

Eating healthier. This past year I've gained a lot of weight. (15 lbs to be exact). Being a full time student and not working was not the best thing for me. I'd constantly be stressed or bored so I ate ALL the time. My fiance and I both gained weight. I've been on a healthier track now for the past few weeks, even lost 5lbs. I've just been watching what I've been eating and not eating in such large portions. Believe me I have my days of over eating, but who doesn't?!

3.

Working out more. I use to work out 5 days a week for an hour each day. And since I went away to school that went out the window. I feel like working out 5 days a week for me was a bit much and I thought of it more of a task then enjoyment. I'm going to be 25 this year and I want to start working out more often but enjoy doing it, not thinking of it as , "Ah, I don't feel like working out today, it's too much work". I want to live a healthier lifestyle. I don't think I live an awful lifestyle, I just want to improve on it.

4.

Makeup. Make up tutorials. Make up reviews. This is all for you guys. I'm beginning to get back into my makeup phase. All because I get a discount now at Sephora! :P But I want this to benefit you guys! Also I'm learning so much from the girls that work there it's unbelievable and I want to share the knowledge with you girls! :) Does this sound good to you guys? Would you like to see more makeup reviews and tutorials and of course hauls? Leave me know!

5.

Tanning, stop tanning! I've been tanning since I was 16 years old. I'm 24 now, that's not right. When people say tanning is addicting, believe them, I know from personal experience. This year I signed up for tanning at Hollywood Tans(like I always do), and it's a 4 month package that I did. It's a lot of money, and it's only hurting my skin. I don't want to be a wrinkly mess by the time I'm 30!! I take many preventative steps to stop early aging. I've been using wrinkle creams for as long as I can remember, because I know tanning isn't good for your skin. But when I tell you it's hard not to tan, it's hard. I feel like I only look good when I have tan skin. It's sad. So this is my last year of going tanning. It has to stop.

I really enjoyed doing this. Maybe I should do this more often. haha. How about you, what do you want to improve on in your life or change? Comment below, I'd love to hear!

New Summer Bag

I finally got the time to take photos of the new bag I got. This is the bag I got from Bebe.com from a previous post click here. I took some of my own photos of it, and I'm so excited to share it with you guys!!
